Atsushi Mitani
Main developer of PGCluster which is the multi-master and synchronous replication system of PostgreSQL.
Mitani is started the design of multi-master and synchronous replication system which is using PostgreSQL from 2002. The first version of PGCluster was released in September 2003. In 2005, he moved to The Netherlands from Japan. Now, he start to develop the next generation of PGCluster which is using the shared disk. It might be expected the performance improvement of not only data reading but writing.
