Nikhil Sontakke

Nikhil has been a Postgresql developer and community member for over 6+ years now. He's submitted patches for features and bug fixes in 8.3, 8.4 and 9.0 releases. He also helped in the initial prototyping and performance measurement of the HOT feature. Earlier, he was a Technical Architect at EnterpriseDB where he worked on many major performance and core internals enhancements on their Postgres Plus product line. He contributed to features like bulk data loading, efficient bulk handling of procedural language in-memory collections, distributed memory caching, etc in the same.

Currently, he is one of the founding members of StormDB.com and is actively involved in adding new features into the core. He is also responsible for the High Availability aspects of the StormDB product. Alongside, he is an active community member in the Postgres-XC project. He is based out of Pune, India
